Ingredients:
For the Pineapple Base:
1 can (20 ounces) drained juice pineapple slices
¼ cup melted unsalted butter
½ cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch salt
For the Topping:
1 cup white flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
1/2 cup rolled oats(Old fashioned)
Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a baking dish measuring about 9 x9 inches or any other similar sized pan.
Place pineapple slices in single layer on bottom of greased baking dish .
In small bowl, mix together melted butter, cinnamon, brown sugar and little pinch of salt. Put this mixture over pineapples making sure they are coated evenly.
Prepare topping mixture in different bowl. Add together flour, oats, cinnamon,brown sugar,salt and granulated sugar. Then cut the cold cubed butter into it using your fingers or pastry blender until it looks like coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle topping evenly over pineapple layer in baking dish.
Put your baking dish inside oven which was preheated and bake for around thirty-five to thirty minutes. The topping should turn golden-brownish while the pineapple should bubble.
Remove from oven and let it cool for sometime before serving it.
