Ingredients:
1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter – melted
1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 ounces)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Optional:
A cup chopped nuts such as pecans or walnuts
A cup mini marshmallows
Instructions
Pre-heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan, then set aside
In a medium-sized bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until thoroughly combined; press mixture evenly over the bottom of prepared baking pan to form crust.
Spread sweetened condensed milk evenly over crust using spatula to completely cover surface.
Sprinkle chocolate chips (and chopped nuts and mini marshmallows if desired) evenly across condensed milk layer.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until edges are golden brown and center is set; bars will still be somewhat gooey in middle which is what you want.
Take out of the oven and let them cool completely while they are in the pan on a wire rack until you can cut them into pieces.
After that, use a sharp knife to divide into bars or squares. Serve and enjoy!
Ooey Gooey Bars are best when eaten as soon as possible but will keep fresh for up to three days if stored in an air-tight container at room temperature. They may also be frozen for longer storage. Enjoy the gooey deliciousness!
